Architecture for Dogs by Kenya Hara

It’s a dog’s life. But good news for pampered pooches – being a dog just got a whole lot more interesting thanks to Architecture for Dogs (worth a visit for the film alone!) a new project founded by creative director of Muji, Kenya Hara.

Developed and designed in collaboration with some of the world’s leading designers, Architecture for Dogs aims to bring joy to pets and their owners with 13 structures designed to stimulate or address issues relating to specific breeds. For example Atelier Bow-Wow’s design for dachshunds (below) tackles the problem this pedigree has with being, um, vertically challenged and having very short legs; the ramp structures are designed to be alternatives to stairs which can be damaging to long dachshund backs.
